I got in my order of childbirth books yesterday. Since we’re not taking the Bradley class, I really wanted to get some more information books. I ordered “Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth” by Ina May Gaskin, “Husband-Coached Childbirth” by Robert Bradley, “The Birth Partner” by Penny Simkin and “Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way” by Susan McCutcheon-Rosegg, Erick Ingraham, and Robert A. Bradley.
I was pumped to get these in and started reading “Ina May” first, because that is the one I was most looking forward to. The first half of the book is made up of birth stories from women they have attended or have given birth at “The Farm” where they live and work. It is so empowering! I would already recommend it to anyone considering a natural birth, or just anyone that is pregnant period.
Trevor swears he’ll read at least two of them, so I am reading them first to determine which are most beneficial for him. I’ll probably be done with all these within a week or two since I’m a speed reader, so he’ll have plenty of time for reading before February!
ETA: After many requests, I promise to review these books as I finish them!
