Thursday we took a quick trip to the state fair. I love the fair but haven’t been in forever because I was a germophobe when it came to my kids… Until I grew out of it. Trevor doesn’t care for the fair, but he was a good sport and did it for the kids!
They were so confused when we first got there, all wide-eyed and quiet. We pulled them in their wagon and stopped at our first ride.
This was before it started moving and scared the mess out of him! He was so startled but calmed down and just held on. When it ended he said “wagon!!” Poor guy!
Next, we rode a train together while both boys made train sound effects. They loved it, despite what Brody’s face may suggest!!
The best part was the animals. Knox adored the baby ducks that slid down the tiny slide and just giggled like crazy- I took video of just his face watching, it was so sweet and innocent!
He also loved the rooster crowing, but Brody did not. Brody did, however, love the food. Like, really a lot. I know you’re surprised by this revelation.
We tried to all ride the Ferris wheel together, but Knox cried when we got close and said “no thank you!!” We respected his wishes and played a game instead- the boys won a “froggie” (it was a lizard… Shhh, don’t tell them).
It was such a fun afternoon, I can’t wait to go back next year when they can ride rides together! Have y’all been to the fair this year yet? What’s your favorite fair food! I adore corn dogs- they’re my must-have!
